It's not you against me, it's us against them.” Sky Cinemas has revealed the official trailer for a fun family adventure film titled Robin and the Hoods, due for release in the UK this summer. This Sky Original Film creation is the latest effort from geek filmmaker Phil Hawkins, probably best known for the fan film Star Wars: Origins and the most recent Prancer: A Christmas Story (2022) updated. This time, he reinvents Robin Hood as a new urban tale. For the tenacious Robin, 11 years old, and her loyal group of friends'Hoodsยป, the corner of overgrown scrubland at the end of their impasse is a magical kingdom. When a real estate developer wants to take over management, the children fight back and do everything to make their parents speak out and stop gentrification. For tenacious 11-year-old Robin (Darcey Ewart) and her loyal band of friends “The Hoods”, the patch of overgrown scrubland at the end of their cul-de-sac is a magical kingdom. Sticks and trash can lids have become swords and shields, drones have become majestic eagles, and the hippie lady of the forest (Christie) is a terrifying witch. The only thing limiting their colorful imaginations is the prospect of losing their kingdom forever. When slippery real estate developer Clipboard (Harris) arrives and dazzles neighborhood parents with promises of spas and daycares, the world of Robin and The Hoods faces an existential threat. Despite their best efforts, their protests fall on deaf ears. When their parents can't see the forest behind the trees, Robin and his friends take matters into their own hands to defend their kingdom.
