The Campbell County Public Library's Summer Reading Program returns June 1 through July 27 for another season of enriching events, fun challenges and prizes at all four branches. This year's theme is “Adventure Begins at the Library.”
Although registering the first week of June is the ideal time to start, patrons of the Campbell County Public Library can register for summer reading throughout June and July.
All ages can track their activities for a chance to win prizes via Beanstack, accessible by visiting cc-pl.org/beanstack or paper newspapers. Paper newspapers can be picked up at any branch or downloaded and printed at home by visiting cc-pl.org/summer-reading.
Participants will win a book or small prize and entry into a weekly themed draw for five recorded activities. Activities include: participating in a library program; read; adventure in the community; To show creativity; play a game; use library materials or resources; and try something new.
Weekly thematic prizes will be awarded by age group; customers can participate for the week that interests them most.
Each branch will also host the Checkout Challenge, in which customers of all ages will receive entry into a midsummer prize and a final prize each time they check out.

The adventure goes beyond the summer challenges of reading and paying; Guests can enjoy programs throughout the summer – from movie nights to craft activities to games and much more. • TUESDAY, JUNE 4: Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch
10 hours: Tower Tuesday – Honey Hill Farm Mobile Petting Zoo in Tower Park (900 S Ft Thomas Ave, Fort Thomas), for children of all ages and their families.
3:30 p.m.: Build-your-own adventure kit, for grades K-5.
4:30 p.m.: Become a wanderer with The Hills of Kentucky Dulcimers, for all ages.
6:30 p.m.: Around the world in six cups with Churchill's teas, for adults, however, teenagers are welcome to attend with an adult
• WEDNESDAY JUNE 5: Newport branch
10 hours: Book Bus on Tour – Popsicles with Puppies & Duckies at Bellevue Beach Park (643-665 Frank Benke Way, Bellevue), for children of all ages and their families.
13 hours: King Tut Remembered – Adventures in archeology with NKU, for teenagers and adults. 3-4:30 p.m.: Gem Dig, for grades K-5.
• THURSDAY JUNE 6: Alexandria branch
10 hours: Jolly Thursday—Kentucky Reptile Zoo at AJ Jolly Park (1501 Race Track Road, Alexandria), for children of all ages and their families.
Noon-4 p.m.: “The adventure is here! », for children of all ages and their families.

2:00 p.m.: The Wave Foundation presents “Tide Pool”, for families.
5-7 p.m.: Creative cosplay, for teenagers and adults
