TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Lake Shawnee Adventure Cove is now open after a blue-green algae advisory was lifted.
According to a social media post by Shawnee County Parks and RecreationBlue-green algae monitoring has been lifted at Shawnee Lake in Shawnee County.
Parks and recreation officials said the Shawnee Adventure Cove swimming beach and inflatables will open Saturday, July 6, with their regular hours of 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Monday.
THE Kansas Department of Health and Environment announced Wednesday, July 3, that they have lifted the blue-green algae watch advisory for Shawnee Lake in Shawnee County.
