Press release
The Castle Country Fuller Center once again welcomed 35 cyclists from the Bike Adventure Group as they traveled the country carrying out service work in the communities in which they were staying. Last year, they helped the Fuller Center repair and maintain the yard of a home in south Price. .
This year, they will be in Price from June 4 to 6. There will be two projects that the Adventure group will contribute to. One of them will be a house in Wellington and the other in Price. Community volunteers are welcome to participate and help.
Pinnacle Academy will house the runners during their stay and the Fuller Center will host the group's lunch and dinner. The public is invited to come to the evening at Washington Park on June 4 to meet the riders and enjoy the entertainment from 6:30 p.m. with light refreshments offered.
The Castle Country Fuller Center for Housing is continually looking for projects to help homeowners in Carbon and Emery Counties with needed repairs or improvements. Year-round, the Fuller Center helps low-income, elderly, disabled or veteran homeowners with necessary repairs and maintenance.
The Fuller Center for Housing is a faith-based, Christ-centered organization that promotes collaborative and innovative partnerships with individuals and organizations in a relentless quest to provide adequate housing for all people in need around the world. It was started by Millard Fuller to address the global housing shortage after he and his wife parted ways with Habitat for Humanity due to major differences in the way they operated.
If you have a project or know someone who might need help from the Fuller Center or for more information on how to get involved, please contact Terri Tubbs at (435) 650-1236.
