ORLANDO, Florida. – Spring break is fast approaching for local students and their families.
It's the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun or attend a special event happening at Florida's best travel destinations.
StudentCity, a student tour operator specializing in spring, summer and winter travel for students nationwide, shared its list of the most popular cities to visit in the Sunshine State this year:
Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach is considered one of the most famous beaches in the world. From its 37km of white sand beaches to the ultimate night out on the town after sunset, there are plenty of things to do.

Florida Keys
The Florida Keys are made up of a collection of five regions: Islamorada, Key Largo, Lower Keys, Big Pine and Key West.
One of the popular tourist spots includes the Schooner Wharf Bar, Seven Mile Bridge (the longest segmented bridge in the world), and the Florida Keys Shipwreck Trail, just to name a few.
Islamorada is also the sport fishing capital of the world, famous for sport fishing and saltwater fly fishing, according to Student City.
Panama City Beach
StudentCity considers Panama City Beach the “Spring Capital” because each year approximately 500,000 people visit the area.
The area is known for its bars, parties and wild competitions.

Clearwater Beaches
Clearwater beaches are best known for their turquoise Gulf of Mexico waters.
Besides sunbathing and visiting local islands like Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island, the area is about a 30-minute drive to Busch Gardens theme park in Tampa and the Florida Aquarium.

Cocoa Beach
If you like surfing, you'll want to visit Cocoa Beach. The famous Original Ron Jon Surf Shop is also located in Cocoa Beach.
Cocoa Beach isn't far from the Kennedy Space Center, so you might even spot a rocket launch in the sky.
