Xbox Game Pass adds a memorable adventure classic to its game catalog today

Xbox Game Pass added the original classic narrative adventure game from Starbreeze Studios, Brothers: a tale of two sons, to the subscription service. Known for being an incredibly touching story with unique gameplay mechanics, the addition of Brothers has Xbox Game Pass is a perfect opportunity for players to check it out if they missed it when it launched back in 2013.

There have been rumors that Xbox Game Pass could get another price increase, having already benefited from a $2 price increase in July 2023. Despite this, many gamers may still find Microsoft's game subscription service to be a very good investment. For $9.99, users can access the lowest tier, Game Pass Core, which offers a catalog of at least 25 games redeemed several times a year. There has also been speculation that Microsoft intends to offer an advertising version of Game Pass in the future, which could make the service accessible to those who cannot or do not want to pay for it.

Outside of the core, Xbox Game Pass PC and Ultimate offers a library of hundreds of games, many of them are available on day one or shortly after. Offering a fairly short playtime of just a few hours, the game will provide a memorable and emotional experience to those who have already played it as well as newcomers.

Xbox Game Pass titles for May 2024

In February 2024, a remake of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons developed by Avantgarden is released. He rebuilt the first game from the ground up, improving the graphics impressively. There's a significantly increased level of detail, from hair to fabric to metal, and a wider field of view so players can fully appreciate the changes. Cutscenes have also been added, some new secrets to discover and a re-recorded soundtrack to augment the entire experience. However, the original game is still as immersive and engaging as ever, so those who have yet to experience the remake will still enjoy playing the classic version via Xbox Game Pass.

But we're only halfway through the month, and Xbox Game Pass subscribers still have a few games to look forward to in May. Little kitten, big city by Double Dagger Studio, released May 9, unleashes an adorable black cat onto a vast open-world metropolis. The most anticipated is probably The Saga of Senua: Hellblade 2 by Ninja Theorywhich was first revealed in 2019 and will finally launch day one on Game Pass on May 21, and perhaps lesser known but just as exciting are Galacticare, Hauntii, and the puzzle game Humanity to close the month for subscribers.
