PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WATE) — A new adventure park opens in Sevier County In the coming months.
WildSide, located between Pigeon Forge And Gatlinburgis designed to provide visitors with an exciting ride through the woods, whether they choose to mountain bike or use motor vehicles.
“We have UTV tours, ATV tours, e-bike tours and it's all in one place,” said Austin Martin, WildSide communications manager. “You can really experience the great outdoors without having to go too far into the national park.”
The park covers 900 acres.
“15 miles of trails, and from the top of the mountains to the bottom, there are 1,500 elevation changes,” Martin said.
The adventure park add more another investment in Sevier County.
“Overall, the entire project represents an investment of approximately $20 million. So we are very happy to give back to the community that has given us so much with Anakeesta,” said Martin. “Just give people more things to do here in the area, but also give them the love of the outdoors that we're really trying to pass on here in the Great Smoky Mountains.”
The park is expected to open this summer.
“A little over a dozen right now as we continue to work on this project,” Martin said. “As we add activities, we'll need guides, we'll need people who know mountain biking and the trails. Safety is a high priority, so we will create many jobs over the coming months.
