Welcome to the land of Pura Vida

Mountains Under Blue Sky – Luis Quintero

Welcome to the land of Pura Vida, also known as Costa Rica. This small Central American country packs a punch when it comes to adventure, culture, and natural beauty. But when is the best time to visit? Costa Rica’s dry season runs from December to April, making it the most popular time to visit. But if you prefer to avoid the crowds and save some money, the rainy season (May to November) can be a great time to visit as well.

Let’s kick off our journey in the capital city of San Jose, where you can explore the city’s history and culture, visit the Central Market, and indulge in delicious local cuisine. Next, head to Manuel Antonio National Park, where you can hike through the jungle, spot monkeys, and relax on the beautiful beaches.

Next, make your way to the Caribbean side of the country, to Tortuguero National Park, the nesting site for the endangered sea turtles. Take a boat tour through the canals and spot monkeys, sloths, and crocodiles, and if you’re lucky, you might even see a turtle laying eggs on the beach at night.

Here’s a sample itinerary to help you make the most of your 14 days in Costa Rica:

Day 1-3: Arrive in San Jose, explore the city and take in the culture.

Day 4-6: Take a bus to Manuel Antonio National Park and enjoy the nature and beaches.

Day 7-10: Take a bus to Tortuguero National Park, take a boat tour and see the wildlife.

Day 11-13: Return to San Jose, and enjoy the last days in Costa Rica.

Day 14: Return home or continue your journey
