Holidaymaker insists you can enjoy a luxury stay Swiss on the cheap – and relax “like a millionaire”.
There's nothing like jetting off somewhere abroad when you need a break. Whether it's work stress, personal struggles, or your calendar is filled with social projects that have left you feeling stretched, we all need time to relax.
But the reality is that between rising bills and the high cost cost of livingit's often not possible to afford a fancy vacation.
But one woman recently flew to Geneva, Switzerland, for £23 and spent less than £50 a night on accommodation. This stunning city, full of breathtaking views and numerous historical treasures, is known for being one of the most expensive city breaks in Europe, according to Weather 2 Travel.
But @petite.blondine, who often shares her best travel tips and advice, disagrees as she explains “how to have a weekend in the most expensive country in the world, on a limited budget.”
The London-based travel writer took her on Instagram page and said: “A luxury weekend that doesn't cost luxury money, that's what the last few days in Geneva have been like.”
She explained how she took a £23 flight from the UK to Geneva and visited an underground spa for less than £32, which has impressive swimming pools with waterfalls. The travel enthusiast found a historic hotel to stay that costs £47 per person, per night. While visiting this exciting city, Emma was able to drink wine in the vineyards and have lunch on a luxury cruise named Belle Epoque.
Of course, you can't visit Switzerland without trying its famous chocolate, so Emma made sure to get a “chocolate pass” and check out the best chocolatiers in town. It only cost him £25.
The content creator also pointed out that tourist transportation in the city is free. “This is how we make the city of millionaires without having to spend like one,” she added.
People flocked to the comments and insisted they were planning their trip to Geneva themselves, following Emma's advice. “Wow,” one said. Another commented: “What a perfect little weekend itinerary…that won't break the bank!” »

How to get to Geneva
There are several ways to get to Geneva from the UK. You can fly from London City Airport, Heathrow Airport, Gatwick AirportBirmingham Airport and Edinburgh Airport.
If you're not a frequent traveler, a train from London to the city takes around seven hours. You can take the Eurostar from St Pancras station which will stop in Paris, then take the TGV Lyria to Geneva.
Another option is to take the BlaBlaCar bus from London to Geneva.
