EAST ELMHURST, Queens (WABC) — If you are traveling to or from New York, consider booking your flights through La Guardia Airport.
The Queens-based travel hub was named the best airport in the country by the Forbes Travel Guide.
The distinction follows an $8 billion renovation for the airport, which began in 2016 and was completed about two years ago.
Before the transformation, the airport often came last on most lists.
It has also been compared to a third world countries in 2014 by then-Vice President Joe Biden.
