Travel and leisure: the best in the world in 2024
Covering 125 category lists, this year's survey results feature a range of surprises and milestones, including the emergence of a new leading national airline JSX, iGA Istanbul Airport claiming first place for best international airport, and Singapore Airlines back in first place in the Best International Airlines category. Charleston, South Carolina continues to resonate with readers as the top U.S. city for the 12th consecutive year.
Highlights of the global ranking include the best cities overall with San Miguel de AllendeUdaipur and Kyoto claiming the first three places, and The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur named best hotel in the world. National highlights include Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport claiming first place in the ranking of the best national airport, The Golden Islands remaining the #1 best island in the continental United States, the Pendry Beach in Newport named the best hotel in the city and Mission Pacific Beach Resort Additional national listings cover top city and resort hotels in destinations such as Washington DC, Chicago, Las Vegas And Miami.
