It's been a tough year playing for the New York Jets. Their humiliating loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday dropped them to 3-7 on the season (remember: New York started 4-5 last year under Zach Wilson), and incredibly, there was no Almost no statistical difference in offensive production between this Aaron Rodgers campaign and the Jets' previous three seasons. As Football Perspective's Chase Stuart noted on Sunday, the Jets through 10 games with Rodgers have delivered almost exactly the same number of points per game (17.7 versus 17.6) and just one more passing yard. per game (211.7 vs. 210.3) than what the Jets. on average in their first 10 games from 2021 to 2023.
From 2021 to 2023 – the Zach Wilson era – the Jets averaged 176 points and 2,103 passing yards through the first 10 games of the season.
The 2024 Jets have scored 177 points and totaled 2,117 passing yards through the first 10 games.

There are no more levers to pull. Head coach Robert Saleh was fired; Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said losing to the Pats was “a moment of darkness» ; and receiver Davante Adams was once acquired in a trade, although that brought little benefit on the field. Green Bay backup Malik Willis has participated in the same number of wins this season as Rodgers.
But there is good news. Since the Jets were all but eliminated from the playoffs…AthleticsThe playoff model just gives them a 7 percent chance to make the playoffs: their schedule just opened up for some great trips in January and February! Delete those “Playoff Games – TBD” calendars, guys, and get on Tripadvisor to look at some potential vacation destinations. And if you don't have time for that, we've taken the liberty of compiling our top 10 winter getaway ideas for Jets players.
1. Cancun, Mexico
Cancun is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world for good reason. From Playa Delfines to La Isla to Avenida Kukulkan, Cancun is already the go-to destination for NBA players eliminated from the playoffs (and it's much better than Galveston). This may be the best place in the world to watch playoff football from the beach.
2. Cairo, Egypt
Rodgers missed mandatory minicamp in June to participate in what he said was a planned trip to Egypt. “I've been a (Egypt) fan for three decades, ever since I was in a gifted and talented education class,” Rodgers said in July. This trip, of course, sparked a bit of a media stir, as Saleh didn't excuse Rodgers' absence and said so in press conferences (before clarifying that it certainly wasn't a problem, no , no way). Fortunately, the Jets aren't expected to miss any practices after Week 18, giving any other players wanting to travel to Egypt plenty of time to investigate. who really built these pyramids without missing any time at the office.
3. Peru
Peru is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, including the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, which dates back to the 1400s. Rodgers, however, has visited Peru in the past to undertake more of an inland journey (i.e. -say to take drugs). In 2020, Rodgers traveled to Peru for an ayahuasca retreat. It was, apparently, an enlightening journey for the quarterback, as he experienced what he called “ego death.” “It was a major ego death,” Rodgers said. “It went deep into my soul and I heard and felt all this self-criticism, all this doubt, all this judgment that I had for myself.”
A treatment that apparently worked wonders. Rodgers won the NFL MVP award in 2020 and again in 2021. If any other Jets find themselves with too much ego – or just want Rodgers to kill it again – they can find themselves a nice place to stay and enjoy the ceremony.
4. Sky Cave Retreats, Oregon
Whether you're looking for off-season fun or old-fashioned rest and relaxation, southern Oregon's Cascade-Siskiyou Wilderness is the place for you. Relax to the rhythm of darkness Sky Cave Retreatswhat some say is the primary dark therapy site on earth. The purpose of dark therapy is simply to exist. Settle into the body. Intimate what is (and what is not). Although there are no lights, amenities include an “organic latex mattress” and a “quiet, spacious 300-square-foot bedroom.” Perfect for Jets players who are tired of seeing and hearing people make fun of them and their season.
5. Waialae Country Club, Honolulu, Hawaii
Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner took up golf this offseason.
This drive went to 240+ and straight on, but it looks like I'm hitting an iron (shape-wise) and not a driver. Drop tips below pic.twitter.com/MHKokGCEck

As, Really in golf.
And like everyone who started playing golf, his work subsequently deteriorated. Sauce was named a first-team All-Pro in each of his first two NFL seasons. The only other defenders to do this in the Super Bowl era are Micah Parsons of Dallas and Lawrence Taylor of New York. This season, however, Sauce has collected numerous penalties, and head coach Ulbrich said recently that Gardner's tackling “has to be better, and he knows it.”
I never thought I'd say this, but golf is harder than football.

Respectfully, tackling this sucks. Golf is much more fun. And given that the Jets' final game will likely be January 5, why not go to the Sony Open in Honolulu later in the month and play with the pros? Rickie Fowler, Cam Young and Will Zalatoris had a lot of comments on the swing of Sauce this summer. So maybe he should attend the tournament and forget about the whole football thing for a while.
6.Indianapolis, Indiana
Home to the world's largest sporting event (the Indy 500) and the world's loudest sporting event (The Pat McAfee Show), Indianapolis is the perfect place for Jets players to watch Rodgers talk to McAfee live. Where else can they see Rodgers pontificating about aliens, vaccines, and cancel culture? (Except in the locker rooms every day.)
7. Las Vegas, Nevada
Sin City, the Sphere, and also Davante Adams' Taco Bell house. What happened to that Taco Bell when Adams went to the Jets? He just put a Taco Bell in his house and asked for an exchange? What happened to the guy who worked there? Will it work for the next buyers of the house? Did Davante bring the nacho posters with him to New Jersey?
8. Columbus, Ohio
Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson can return to his alma mater after the season and blend in with all the other 24-year-olds returning to campus to relive their glory days and get drunk while trying to forget what They hate their job. . While Wilson is there, he can grab Ohio State phenom wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and tell him never to grow upBilly Madison style.
9. Riley, Kansas
Riley County, near Leonardville, Kansas, is home to former Packers legend Jordy Nelson. Rodgers has exhausted almost all of his options after already bringing several former Green Bay receivers to the Jets — Allen Lazard and Adams are currently on the team, and Randall Cobb was last year — with little success. But Nelson could be the key to unlocking the entire enterprise. Although he's 39 and has been retired for six seasons, the mind meld he established with Rodgers will never truly go away. Nelson will have to be convinced to give up his day job of tending his farm, attending Kansas State games and being an assistant girls basketball coach at the local high school. But if enough Jets go to Kansas, they might eventually convince him to bring them to the promised land.
10. Green Bay, Wisconsin
If the Jets are wondering what playoff football looks like, they could attend a Packers home playoff game in January. This would be especially cool for a lot of them since they used to, well, be in said playoff games when they were members of the Packers.
