A warm-weather getaway just got easier and cheaper.
Avelo Airlines recently announced four new routes from the Orlando, Florida area, and is celebrating with fares of $46. With the expansion of new routes, Avelo will open a new crew base at Lakeland International Airport, located one hour and 15 minutes south of the Orlando Airport and one hour east of the Tampa Airport, making it an alternative option for passengers visiting each of the airports. the two major cities of Florida.
From Lakeland, Avelo will launch service to Rochester, New York, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Concord, North Carolina (near Charlotte, North Carolina), and Manchester, NH (near Boston, Massachusetts). The low-cost airline operates its flights from regional airports adjacent to major cities, which explains the Manchester and Concord airport options.
Each new route will operate twice weekly and Avelo says it is the only airline to operate a direct service between each of the markets. The launch could be useful for travelers looking for a direct or low-cost flight to Orlando, home to popular theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld.
“Our new base in Lakeland provides Floridians with easy access to air transportation, especially for customers who appreciate the convenience of a small airport. Customers arriving in Lakeland from one of our new destinations can expect more time and freedom to explore Florida in the direction they choose,” said Andrew Levy, founder and CEO of Avelo Airlines, in a press release.
The new routes are currently discounted to purchase at $46 one-way, while supplies last, and tickets can be purchased on the Avelo website.
Avelo has progressed network planning, including the relaunch from Sonoma, CA to Salt Lake City, UT, as well as from Daytona Beach, FL to Hartford, CT. The low-cost carrier is based in Houston, Texas, and was founded by a former United Airlines executive. The airline operates a fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
