Travel analyst Francesca Page joined FOX Weather Friday morning to provide tips on finding the best deep discounts for your next trip.
Where are you going summer holidays? It depends on where you live and your age, research reveals.
Towards the clouds wanted to find the ultimate summer vacation destination, so they turned to Google and crunched the numbers. The team looked at top keywords and searches for hotels, resorts, Airbnb, weather and activities.
They discovered that where people go in the world depends on where they live. Maids and servants separated towards the clouds international holidays.

Cancun and London are preferred destinations

Cancun is a budget-friendly beach destination. Paris and Singapore offer more indulgent, upscale trips with high-end amenities, the study found. Bermuda and Vancouver Island offer fast flights without a visa requirement.
Machu Picchu is not just a historical bucket list item, but Peru is also a foodie mecca, according to Michelin Star Guide. Tulum, Mexico also offers history and culture not far from home.

Preply.com Research found that 55% of Americans vacation in the United States during the summer, while 19% are heading to international destinations and 26% aren't planning to go anywhere.
“Americans often choose ‘staycations’ over international travel, perhaps because their own backyard is full of distinct cultures, histories and geographies,” Sylvia Johnson, language expert at Preply, said in a statement . “First, the United States is extremely diverse in its landscapes, cultures, and experiences.”
“With access to everything from snow-capped mountains to beautiful beaches, bustling cities and quaint small towns, the United States offers a variety of potential vacation spots,” she continued. “Each state offers new experiences and perspectives. Traveling to the United States can also be a matter of convenience, affordability or personal preference.”
Investigators found that a person's generation played a role in whether they chose an international or domestic vacation. Baby boomers were the most likely to stay home or move to a foreign country. Generation X and Millennials tended to opt for road trips.
HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER
According to the study, millennials also chose vacations for natural attractions like beaches and mountains. Generation Z tended to choose cultural attractions like museums and historical sites.
Most of us will travel with family, while about 12% of Americans will travel alone. Cost and proximity to natural attractions come in first and second for vacation considerations, with weather and climate rounding out the top three.
