Personally, I'm very excited about this remake since I played Bloober Team's Layers of Fear (2023), itself a remake. I'm not a big fan of “walking simulator” type horror games, but I was captivated by the painter and actor's stories while playing Layers of Fear, and I knew that if they could bring this level of storytelling to Silent Hill 2 and preserve the emotional impact of the original, this 2024 remake could be an absolute slam dunk, and I think they did just that, and I'd love to see more games from them, whether in the Silent Hill franchise or not, in this genre.
