SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City International Airport is introducing a new budget-friendly flight to California, giving Utah another affordable travel option.
Avelo Airlines announced affordable flights from Salt Lake City International Airport to Sonoma County on Wednesday. The airline said the flights will be offered twice a week starting in late October.
This announcement follows that of the Provo airport recent extension economical flight options. Provo airport expansion includes new routes to Phoenix and Dallas with American Airlines.
The growing popularity of Provo and Salt Lake International Airports, which offer affordable fares, underscores Utahns' commitment to finding travel deals.

Avelo Airlines said in a Press release One-way fares will start at $51 per person. This price applies to flights departing from the San Francisco Bay Area/Sonoma County to Salt Lake City, Utah and Ontario, California.
Avelo said the company will launch service between Charles M. Schulz Airport in Sonoma County and Salt Lake City International Airport on Oct. 24.
