Are you looking for the next big holiday destination take your children? Yelp Ranked the 10 Best Family Travel Destinationsand it's full of surprises, including one in Oregon.
Yelp created the ranking based on the increase in “family friendly” searches in cities. Topping the list is Fredericksburg, Texas.
Yelp highlights Fredericksburg's small-town charm and proximity to Austin and San Antonio. A winery, hiking and the Pioneer Museum are among the Yelp-recommended attractions.
Salem is part of Yelp with the 10th place on the list.

Our travel writer Jamie Hale is also a fan of Oregon's capital as a vacation destination. One attraction that Yelp and Jamie rate highly is Riverfront Park. It features riverside trails, large grassy areas, a sternwheel boat, carousel, play areas and the Eco-Earth Globe sculpture. There is also a beautiful pedestrian bridge crossing the Willamette Slough to Minto-Brown Island Park.

Another Yelp recommended attraction is Enchanted Forest – Oregon's Favorite Fairytale Themed Amusement Park. Yelp calls it “a unique seasonal theme park that will transport you to a wondrous fairytale world.”
Other western U.S. entries on Yelp's list are No. 2 Napa, California; No. 5 Breckenridge, Colorado; and No. 9 in San Luis Obispo, California.
