Five localities with taxes or tourism fees include:
Venice, Italy

Bhutan
Bhutan, nestled in the Himalayas in Asia, requires most tourists to pay a sustainability fee of $100 per night for adults and $50 for ages 6 to 12. It charges different fees than those from India. The money is intended for “various projects that create long-term sustainable opportunities for the Bhutanese people”, the website of the country's tourism ministry said.
New Zealand
New Zealand's tourist tax, called the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, costs $35. Tourists encounter him during the visa application process. The country requires it for “most people entering New Zealand on a temporary basis”, such as for holidays and some short-term student and work visas, according to the government.
