Throughout my life, I have probably spent more time in Guam than any other destination in the world. The main reason I spent a total of six weeks on this Pacific island is that I have more family there than anywhere else on Earth.
Guam is a US territory in Oceania which has long been neglected by American tourists. Skyscanner travel search site In 2018, it was reported that few Americans were planning to travel to the destination. And growing up in the United States, I rarely met people who had heard of the island.

The Chamoru are the indigenous people of Guam. I am half Chamoru and most of my family lives on Guam.
When I visit them, we go on adventures all over the island and the surrounding waters. These photos of tropical jungles, coral reefs, and some of the most culturally rich destinations Guam has to offer will show why it should be #1 on everyone's travel bucket list.
