TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) – An update on the 12-foot alligator that tried to hitch a ride on a plane at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
The alligator, named MacDill, was safely released at Gatorama, according to the Air Force base.
Readers may remember MacDill finding his way onto the tarmac at MacDill Air Force Base.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission had to step in to remove the alligator from the base.
Airmen want to remind people that if there is water nearby, it's safe to assume there may be an alligator hiding in the depths.
