Oddly enough, the team-up of Jake and Marceline occurs after years of disagreement between the two. When Marceline debuted on the show, Jake was absolutely terrified of her because she was a vampire. He wanted nothing to do with her and sometimes even tried to stop Finn from connecting with her. However, as Adventure time evolved, Jake's opinions of Marceline became friendlier as the two became friends, which makes him one of the most likeable characters in the series.

It has already merged with his best friend Finn becoming his armor, but that was basically Finn entering Jake's mouth, not a true fusion. A potential team-up would be Jake merging with one of Adventure timethe best villains, the Lich, in what would be an undeniably terrifying look. Others could include characters such as Ice King, Lemongrab, the Tandem Psychic War Elephant, and more.
Jake's elasticity is incredibly malleable, so it gives him tons of incredible possibilities for bending his body to create something absolutely horrible. However, none would make as much sense as his team-up with Marceline.
