It is an example of the new demands the French World Cup winner has faced in his first six months in North America, and the type of challenges he was keen to tackle in the Indian summer of his historic career.
“I was really excited to join MLS and it’s been a really good experience so far. I’ve discovered a lot of new things,” Lloris told MLSsoccer.com in Ohio this week. “It’s not an easy league, obviously. We don’t have the right image of MLS in Europe. It’s a real challenge, when you look at all the travel you have to do – the distances, the weather conditions, the altitude, the different types of pitches, the grass.”
“But it's also very good because the competition is good. There are a lot of talented players, very good coaches, very good teams, talented players. I mean, there is everything to enjoy the competition here… Especially when you go away, there is no easy match.”
