Located in Winnetka, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, the recognizable estate has been a residential home for years, but was put up for sale earlier this year, FOX Business reported.
The home's previous owners, Tim and Trisha Johnson, spoke to the Wall Street Journal about the home they purchased 12 years ago, noting that some modifications were made to the home before they purchased it.
But, in 2018, they carried out a major renovation, making a point of “leaving the front door and the central staircase the same”.
