TAMPA, Florida. – If you have a big trip in mind for 2025, Travel Tuesday is a perfect day to take advantage of some big deals offered by different airlines, hotels and cruise lines.
Experts recommend reading the fine print on journey offers. Some of the biggest discounts offer the least flexibility if your travel plans change. Many offers are also subject to blackout or travel periods.
“Reading the fine print is always good advice, but it’s especially good advice on Travel Tuesday when you’re checking out these deals,” said Katy Nastro, spokesperson and travel expert for travel app Going . “Often these deals are limited to certain dates, itineraries, cruises or destinations, and you just want to be 110% sure that you are able to take the trip you are purchasing.”
It's also important to use a search engine like Google to check if you're actually getting a good deal. Several sites are currently offering discounted rates on things like hotels, so the “sale” offered by one site might not be the best rate available.

“Please be aware that the 30 or 25 percent you see is just for the base rate. That doesn't include taxes and fees, which as we know have increased significantly in recent years. And those resort fees , you're still “I'm going to have to pay for this in some cases. So just be aware that these reduced prices only concern the base rate, and not the total rate you will pay,” Nastro warned.
It's also a great time to take advantage of the post-holiday lull, where flight prices typically drop significantly between January and March.
“We're seeing some of these European carriers like SAS promoting these deals in January and February and even slightly in March that you can take advantage of for the ski season. Some fares right now are under $500 round trip, so it's a good time where you can enjoy a very slow period in northern hemisphere travel,” Nastro said.
Anyone looking to cross the Atlantic for their ski vacation will also find much lower prices on lift tickets compared to popular American resorts.

If you've traveled a lot in the past year, now is a good time to check for hotel and flight deals using points.
“People shouldn't just look for cash deals. Also look for points, bonuses from various hotels as well as airlines because it's a currency you can use, even if it's just for one night “Nastro said. . “You might end up getting a free night or even getting a one-way flight which is a better points deal than paying the price in cash. Many people forget that they may have accumulated quite a few points in miles at during their trip. their spending habits over the past year.
