Following the conclusion of the Dragon Ball Z series, fans were left without much Dragon Ball content to look forward to. However, that quickly changed when Battle of Gods was released, and shortly after, Resurrection of F did the same. Soon after, an anime for Dragon Ball was announced and Dragon Ball Super became a thing. Fans got to see Dragon Ball Super continue the adventures of GokuVegeta and many other powerful beings in this series, and fight various powerful enemies. Dragon Ball Super was certainly a success, regardless of fans' views. However, from a production perspective, the series was a disaster. Due to the lack of time, the early parts of the series certainly faced a lot of problems as well, and ultimately whatever changes were made to ease the pressure on an already overworked staff, things didn't really work out . out.
Luckily, Dragon Ball Super ended with the Tournament of Power arc, which was certainly exciting to say the least. The conclusion of this arc greatly disappointed fans, not because it was disappointing, but because it meant that there was no more Dragon Ball content for quite a while.
