Fallout fans, get ready for a whole new adventure with someone completely different.
While we wait Fallout 5 could kill us, there's a lot to look forward to over the next few months. Fallout 76 still gets a ton of updates, a superb new box set containing all the older games is coming and, of course, the one from Amazon To fall the series is fast approaching.
Take a look at the brand new trailer below:
I don't know about you, but I'm excited. This really sounds like the cast and crew at Amazon. To fall absolutely captured the mood of the Bethesda Games. It looks bloody, scary, and really funny in that twisted way that the Fallout series has always excelled at. It’s a tightrope and painful to walk.
If you haven't been paying attention, this looks like the upcoming series though Fallout 5 in everything except the name. At least that's what co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan says.
In a interview with Total Film, Nolan spoke about the originality of the series: “From the first conversation with Todd (Howard), we were very excited about an original story. Each of the games is a distinct story – a different city, a distinct protagonist – within the same mythology. Our series is related to games as games are related to each other.
“It's almost as if we were Fallout 5. I don't want to sound presumptuous, but it's just a non-interactive version, right?
This non-interactive version of Fallout 5 is set in California – a first for the series – and follows a number of distinct characters as they travel through the irradiated wastes of Los Angeles.
Lucy (Ella Purnell) is a Vault dweller turned explorer who embarks on a personal journey. We will also meet Maximus, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel played by Aaron Moten. A third major player is Walton Goggins' Cowboy Ghoul, who I suspect could quickly become a fan favorite.
Amazon confirmed To fall will debut on April 11.
