CMG Global Chinese Program Center has unveiled its 2024 summer cultural and travel programs in Beijing, introducing a new media zone titled “China Travel – Play in China!”
Since the launch of the 72/144-hour visa-free transit policy in January 2013, the initiative has made significant contributions to China's openness and global engagement, facilitating travel for international visitors and promoting international cooperation. On July 15, 2024, the China National Immigration Administration announced the extension of the 144-hour visa-free transit policy to Henan and Yunnan provinces, providing additional travel and business opportunities for foreigners.
Following the announcement, international interest increased, with “China Travel” becoming a trending topic on many overseas social platforms and sparking a global fascination with China travel.
In order to better inform international tourists about the 144-hour visa-free transit policy and improve their travel experience, CMG Global China Program Center, in cooperation with relevant cities and China-foreign cultural exchange centers, launched the “China Travel – Play in China!” zone on CMG's new media platforms including CCTV and CMB Mobile. The initiative aims to showcase the splendor of China to both domestic and international visitors.
In addition, starting this summer, the China Programming Center of China National Radio will offer 20 new cultural and tourism programs, including documentaries, integrated media productions and reality shows. These offerings are designed to warmly welcome visitors from around the world, allowing them to experience China's scenic beauty and cultural richness, thereby promoting cultural exchange and understanding through China's enduring heritage and narratives.
