Model Emily Ratajkowski is the face (literally) of many things: countless ad campaigns, body positivity, you-and-me-become-“just-me” divorce rings…the list goes on. But perhaps more than anything, she's the ultimate summer girl.
To further cement its position as summer supreme, EmRata has a new campaign with Victoria's Secret, it's all about summer escapes. From swim From lingerie to beach corset tops, the campaign celebrates a collection perfect for whatever your summer may entail. As for Ratajkowski's summer plans? Relax in the latest VS sleep set during a well-deserved vacation.
Below, we spoke to Ratajkowski about her must-have summer beauty productspending the season in New York, and what she has planned for 2024.
What are the essential features of the perfect swimsuit?
I love a nice Brazilian cut butt and a little support for the boobies!
What are your favorite pieces from the collection? Have you thought about places you will wear them first?
I love how you can wear the pieces indoors and out! The satin sleep set is so pretty: I could see myself wearing it at home, but also going out with it on vacation.
Do you have any style or beauty tips for hot summer days at the beach, boat, pool or anywhere else?
Always wear sunscreen, especially on your face, and good hat which will work with both your swimsuit and your cover-up.
How has your experience with Inamorata and having your own swimwear company shaped the evolution of your swim style?
I learned so much about wetsuit construction! Designing and making the suits really confirmed that Brazilian cuts work best for all body types.
What is your favorite way to “get away from it all,” whether on vacation or in everyday life?
I have become a big fan of staycations! When it's hot in the city, I'll go to the park for a picnic and wear a summer dress to get in the mood. I travel so much for work that sometimes the most relaxing thing to do is just enjoy my hometown.
What are you most looking forward to for summer 2024? Do you have any personal goals coming up for the season and year?
I can't wait to get back to good weather, to write and to spend time with my son and my dear friends! Summer is definitely my season, but I hope this one will be productive too.
Are there any future projects we can look forward to from you this year?
I'm filming Lena Dunham's new show (Too much) this summer, which I'm really excited about. Other projects are still secret, so stay tuned!
