Meow, meow my magical friends. It's Cosmo, the library cat, reporting live from Hogwarts, on the Grand County Library campus. The children's room at the Moab branch underwent a magical transformation. In addition to the usual books, toys, and activities, you'll now find floating candles, a screaming mandrake, and a whomping willow. A Potions Book appeared in the courtyard. You might even see Platform 9 ¾ if you know where to look!
There are also Harry Potter-themed activities to do! Choose an owl to send to Albus Dumbledore, the Head Wizard, in response to the Sorcerer Supreme's summons to come to Hogwarts for the semester. The new librarian, Miss Kate, sorts people into Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Miss Kate even sorted me out, but you'll have to stop by the children's room at the library to find out what I have!
I'll leave you with a reminder of all the fun kids' shows coming this month. On Friday, October 18 at 2:30 p.m. we will celebrate Dia de los Muertos with stories, songs and activities. On October 25 at 2:00 p.m. we will screen the film “Coco,” a fun animated film inspired by Dia de los Muertos. And finally on October 26 at 10:30 a.m., we will host Nicole Cornelius and Kate Clark's Musical Story Time! So fun to have. Meow for now!
