At that time, I was going through a period of internal struggle regarding my career, my body and who I was. As far as my career was concerned, Goa was the first place where, when asked what I did for a living, I would say I was a writer. As the month went by, I began to speak with more confidence. I had always hesitated to become a writer, due to economic constraints, even though I knew it was my calling all along. But the sense of calm and peace I felt in Goa released something in my heart, and I finally gave in to my calling.
