Heading to Boston for Labor Day weekend? Turns out you're not alone.
The Massachusetts capital is among the top 10 destinations in the United States to travel for Labor Day, according to AAA Reservation Data.
Other popular Labor Day destinations include Orlando, New York, Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago and San Francisco.
Seattle is the number one destination for Labor Day weekend, with travel to the city up nearly 30% from last year, when it also topped the list, according to AAA.
While the total number of domestic trips over Labor Day weekend increased 9% from last year, the cost of domestic travel decreased 2%, AAA reported.
Gas prices are also expected to be lower this Labor Day weekend than in 2023. Last year, the national average was $3.81 over the holiday weekend, and this year it could hover around $3.50, according to AAA.
Meanwhile, international travel over Labor Day weekend is down 4% from last year, according to AAA booking figures.
The cost of international travel has increased by 11% and AAA found that most travelers are heading to Europe. In fact, eight of the top ten most booked international destinations through AAA are European cities.
