Boom Buster recently launched on Kickstarter and, in the final hour of the campaign, backed To change has been confirmed.
The game had already reached its funding goal of $50,000. It was unclear whether there would be a Switch port, as the goal was $70,000, but the campaign ended with a little over that amount. While the project likely won't be completed for at least another two years at this point, Nintendo fans can expect it to happen in the future.
As for the game, Boom Buster is a hand-drawn platform adventure. It takes inspiration from the early 2000s, including the music, with classics like Jet Set Radio And Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is just one of two titles the team has in mind.
Here is some additional information:
An adrenaline rush is part of a healthy breakfast. Boom Buster is an action-packed, hand-drawn adventure platformer designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. Inspired by the early 2000s, its modern twists create something new for everyone.
Blowing things up isn't a hobby, it's a lifestyle for Buster and his girlfriend, Bridget. Unfortunately, all that noise is keeping the wizard awake! Solution? Steal all their explosives, then pretend nothing happened! Surely they won't be after him… right? Embark on a crazy journey to defeat the wizard and take back what's yours!
The gameplay is pretty simple: Bridget will drop BOMs periodically. They will flow out and if you don't sort them into their color-coded container in time… BOOM! They will explode. Sounds easy enough, right?
Fake.
You'll have to survive tricky platforming with the wizard's minions to reach each BOM. Don't get too used to the level layout though, as the stages feature 3 acts, each expanding from a central gadget. Things can get heated quickly as the stages become increasingly stressful.
We've attached a trailer for Boom Buster below.
