From 2024, Bangkok Thai citizens or passport holders can travel to a total of 82 destinations entirely without visa. This includes 41 countries that allow visa-free entry, 38 countries that offer visas on arrival, and 3 destinations where an electronic travel authorization (eTA) is accepted. Some of the notable countries that Thai citizens can visit without a visa include Japan, South Korea, Russia, Iraq, Turkey, Argentina, and Brazil. This expanded access places the Thai passport at 63rd position in the global passport strength rankings.
