PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona Department of Public Safety is urging drivers to be cautious on the roads this week as Thanksgiving approaches.
“This is the busiest travel week of the year,” said Sgt. » said Eric Andrews.
DPS said they have all hands on deck to handle the influx of drivers on our Valley highways.
“The most important things are what we call 'the big four': don't drive impaired, don't drive distracted, reduce your speed and wear your seat belt,” said Sgt. » said Andrews.
He added that DPS will be working with all law enforcement agencies in the Valley this week for their DUI task force to curb impaired drivers.
DPS said you should call 911 if you see someone driving erratically on the roadway.
