Some of us travel the world, ready to indulge ourselves, but not everyone is ready to shell out their salary, no matter the destination.
Why spend all your money on plane tickets before you arrive?
Tokyo isn't exactly known as a budget haven, although solo travelers I love coming here and getting away with it somehow.
It may simply be that Tokyo is worth the price of admission, or that you are familiar with ZIPAIR, Japan's flagship low-cost airline.
There are plenty of airlines that fly direct from Tokyo to the US, but most will ask you to bring Pepto if you feel uncomfortable looking at the receipt.
ZIPAIR offers Americans an affordable option to visit one of the world's most iconic cities among these four American cities.
Goodbye Japan Airlines! Hello ZIPAIR
It seems that most major countries worth visiting now have their own budget airlines. What does this mean?
Well, that depends on who you ask.
Americans may have heard of many of the better-known American low-cost airlines, such as Frontier, Spirit, and South West are in class major changes.
Some might argue that Southwest no longer fits the “budget” model, which just goes to show how confusing airlines can be.
Across the Atlantic, both east and west, travelers have plenty of opportunities to potentially save big on their airline tickets.
ZIPAIR is one of the newest low-cost carriers in Asia and has experienced rapid growth in the US market.
While Japan Airlines still operates plenty of flights to the United States, “ZIP” is perfect for travelers looking to save on flights so they have more money to spend on Tokyo’s coolest experiences.
Fancy some real-life Mario Kart racing?
What about capybara cafes?
Or maybe mind-boggling robot shows that make no sense?
Weird, fun and unique, Tokyo's attractions are endless!
ZIPAIR has just announced its new program extending until 2025, taking over popular West Coast routes.
Lesser-known Japanese neighborhoods, the springboard for ZIPAIR's popularity
ZIPAIR is no stranger to the West Coast, but it's safe to say that San Jose is a latecomer and here to stay.
Of course, this shouldn't come as a surprise since San Jose is home to only a handful of authentic Japanese neighborhoods remaining in the United States.
ZIPAIR first tested the waters via San Jose, then, of course, added San Francisco, another city with a charming Japanese neighborhood (shout out to Kabuki HotelOne of my favorites!)
These two Californian cities have enjoyed enormous success, especially since Japanese culture is flourishing there.
Often we look for Chinatowns, Little Italys, and maybe Koreatowns, but Japantowns offer their own unique distinction through food, art, and cultural museums.
Extending service through March 2025, this NorCal alternative airport is perfect for those who don't want to deal with the chaos of San Francisco.
You know, the high tolls, the traffic on the bridges, the increase in crime and the anxiety of not knowing if your car will make it up those daunting hills!
San Jose will see essentially the same schedule over the next three seasons with flights departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The main difference is that later flights are offered on Saturdays and even later departure times in March 2025.
ZIPAIR's Complete Network in the United States
Japan's neighborhoods are cool, but the perfect place to immerse yourself in Japan's fascinating culture is undoubtedly Tokyo.
ZIPAIR gives more Americans the chance to fly nonstop and hit the ground running with more money to spend at lively, hidden karaoke bars izakayaand world-class cuisine: it doesn't get any better than this.
Tokyo is the kind of place that would take several articles to even scratch the surface of, partly because it is one of the largest cities in the world, but mostly because it is so incomparable and full of contradictions.
One contradiction is that this country is known for being expensive, but it offers cheap flights to Americans. Is anyone complaining?
No, I didn't think so.
Like San Jose, ZIPAIR will extend flights to San Francisco through March 2025, offering daily flights each season.
ZIPAIR also operates out of Los Angeles and Honolulu, the latter of which is only operational through October 25 until further notice.
Los Angeles travelers enjoy the same benefits as their California counterparts with flights scheduled through March 25.
ZIPAIR is based in Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT)The tickets are on sale for all US flights.
