FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Northwest Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund and Ronald McDonald House Charity of Arkoma received a total of $156,500 from Adventure Subaru on April 19 .
According to a press release, the Single Parent Scholarship Fund received $75,000 and the Ronald McDonald House received $81,500. The donation is part of the 2023 Subaru Share the Love event and is intended to support the Northwest Arkansas community.
The release said the two organizations were partners in the event which allows car buyers to direct a donation to support their local community.
According to the release, Subaru of America donated $250 for every new vehicle purchased between November 16, 2023 and January 2, 2024, and Adventure Subru customers were selected from four national charities, the Sigle Parent Scholarship Fund or the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma.
The release said Adventure Subaru also matched Subaru of America's $250 donation. These funds went directly to local charities.
