A one-of-a-kind adventure park founded in Branson, Missouri, is making its debut in Texas: called Fritz's AdventureIt will open at The Colony, at 5651 Nebraska Furniture Mart Dr. inside Grandscape. It will open in late 2024, according to a spokesperson.
Fritz's Adventure is a fun place for kids and adults who love to climb on all sorts of things. It was founded by owner-CEO Matt Engram, who previously worked in the construction industry and used his expertise to build a sustainable, safe and creative facility. Grandscape will be only his second location.
It opened its first location in Branson in 2016, offering out-of-this-world features like water tower climbing, mazes, underground tunnels and hidden passages. There are 19 high stakes activitiesfeaturing a ropes course, 48-foot brick climbing wall, zip line, scavenger hunt and extreme slides.
Their approach is very imaginative. One of the activities is called Cement Mixer: a partially buried cement mixer drum that you can crawl into and “find the little escape hatch to Fritz’s basement.” Who doesn’t love hidden rooms?
There's nothing like it, says Grace Frankowski, marketing director for Fritz's Adventure.
“The intricacies of our attractions – from underground tunnels and aerial cages to climbing a real city building and ziplining from indoors to outdoors – Fritz’s Adventure is where you can do things you’ve never done before,” Frankowski says.
According to Frankowski, the Colony was chosen as the second location for the brand because of its growth and proximity to other family attractions. It's an area teeming with entertainment concepts, such as Andretti and Cosm.
“We saw a fantastic opportunity to join a community that values innovation and memorable experiences,” Frankowski said.
The Branson space spans 80,000 square feet, while the Grandscape space is set to be even larger at 10,000 square feet. It is currently under construction, with tunnels, an airplane and warped walls already taking shape. There will also be an on-site café serving sandwiches, pizza, snacks and kids' meals, as well as alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine.
There is a waiting list available as soon as tickets are posted on the site.
The company name comes from The Swiss Robinson family by Johann Wyss, a story about Fritz, the eldest child in the story and a “born explorer.”
“At Fritz’s Adventure, we believe that everyone is either looking for their next adventure or needs to find their inner Fritz to face their fears and take on challenges,” Frankowski says.
