CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Are you hoping to take a quick trip this fall before the holidays?
Whether you want to see the fall colors of the Northeast or go somewhere tropical, Carolyn Kempf, president and CEO of Elite Travel, has advice.
Kempf said most people choose to spend the fall in Vermont and Boston to see fall foliage.
The spooky season has many people considering visiting Universal Studios Florida as well as Disney World.
Kempf told me that Salem, Massachusetts, is an important destination for understanding the history of the Halloween season.
A few of the affordable options she recommends are Gatlinburg and Branson, due to close driving distances and lower cabin prices.
An important factor when traveling is the weather and a term called “overtourism.”
Kempf said an example of this would be going to a place that is always very busy. This year, Italy is crowded and expects long wait times for tourists.
