September 24: From today, travellers at Sydney Airport's international terminal can access a new dedicated collection area using PIN technology.
Locals and visitors will be able to book an Uber ride and then simply walk 20 metres from the international terminal gates to collect their ride from the new dedicated pick-up area.
The zones will use Uber's industry-leading PIN technology, which matches riders with a driver already waiting in the Uber pickup zone, eliminating the need to wait for a designated driver to arrive.
After requesting a ride, passengers will receive a PIN code that they can provide to the first available driver in the pickup area before beginning their ride.
