Games inspired by the Internet tradition of “The Backrooms” are usually pretty scary, but PC games POOLS (2024) has a different way of touching you. No monsters. Just pools. And soon, you'll be able to play in VR.
Tensori Developer Brings VR Support to Swimming pools soon, which should arrive as a free update the pc game.
The game, which drops you into a strange, maze-like pool, is also heading to the PS5, which, according to PlayStation Store list will also be provided for PSVR 2.
Swimming pools “It can feel oppressive at times, invoking the fear of getting lost, the dark and cramped spaces, and the liminal spatial architecture,” the studio explains, after releasing the game on Steam earlier this year to “very positive” overall user reviews.
There is no release date yet, but Tensori says in a steam update They will announce “full details on the update's release date very soon.” The studio previously said it wasn't making any promises, but that “it will likely happen this year.”
Notably, the studio hasn't mentioned whether it plans to support Quest at this time, though we hope they do.
