BILLINGS, Mont. — Billings' MET report says over the past year they've seen an increase of more than 1,600 people riding public transportation.
They attribute part of that increase to the meetings and trainings they've been holding for years to help people better understand Billings' bus system.
Just a few months ago, the MET partnered with the Billings Public Library to offer summer classes for groups.
These meetings review the resources offered by the MET and provide advice on traveling and planning a trip.
They also accompany participants on a journey from the library to the nearest bus station and then on a MET bus and back.
Visitors can experience what it's like to ride a MET bus from Billings, with guided assistance and no charge to those who come.
Billings MET mentions that they are already planning to hold another training day in August, focused on students and back-to-school.
