JetBlue announced plans to significantly expand its travel options in New England, U.S., by adding new flight routes to high-demand vacation destinations. This will result in a more than 20% increase in seats in the region by winter 2024.
The Boston-based airline will add new flight routes from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and other New England airports. In addition, the carrier will launch service for the first time from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) in Manchester, New Hampshire.
“We are incredibly proud of our strong roots in Boston and New England, a place that has always embraced our vision of low fares and superior travel experiences,” JetBlue President Marty St. George said in a press release. “With each new development, each new route, we aim to deliver even more comfort and convenience, ensuring our customers’ choice is easy.”
The airline will expand its connections between Boston and various tourist destinations such as Aruba, Barbados, Cancun, Grand Cayman, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Liberia, Miami, Montego Bay, Nassau, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Punta Cana, Providenciales, Sarasota, St. Maarten, St. Lucia and Tampa. The airline will also launch a second daily non-stop flight between Boston and Phoenix.
JetBlue will launch the only nonstop service from Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) on a seasonal basis, connecting New York and Florida during the winter months. Buffalo and Albany will each offer an additional daily flight to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando this winter. Syracuse will also add an additional daily flight to Orlando.
The airline has operated out of Boston Logan International Airport for over 20 years. JetBlue offers more mainline flights from Boston than any other airline, about 30% more than its competitors.
By February 2024, JetBlue will operate more than 225 daily flights from Florida, an 8 percent increase from 2023. Currently, JetBlue flies customers to more than 100 destinations in the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada and Europe.
