One of the best things about being an indie fan is stumbling upon an extremely talented team that you've never heard of before. For me, one of those teams was Colorgrave, and I really enjoyed seeing them again. Curse Crackers: Who does Beauty work for?. Now they have another adventure around the corner named Truth. It's a top-down, pixel-perfect adventure with a variety of tools to explore the Shadow God's lair. Better yet, Truth is coming to Steam very soon. It will officially release on July 22nd!
Here are some reasons to be excited to check out the game now:
Experience a taste of a classic adventure RPG with a fast-paced twist. Use your trusty pickaxe, lasso, and magical god hand to overcome obstacles. Face bosses, each with their own themes, unique mechanics, and even extra stages to test your skills. And explore countless rooms that all seem connected, like small parts of a larger picture.
- Explore the castle: Uncover the mysteries of the Shadow God. Journey through the treacherous corridors and chambers of Veritus' forgotten castle and find key fragments to unlock the secrets of the throne room.
- Puzzles and battles: Overcome the many dangers that lurk in every corner of the castle's sacred walls. Use the weapons and tools at your disposal to defeat the monsters and decipher the puzzles that hinder your quest.
- REGROUP: Set up camp in safe havens within the castle. Prepare for every adventure by equipping a variety of weapons and tools, setting out on expeditions with companions, and resting after each encounter.
Here are some additional quick notes on the game. Apparently it's a direct sequel to another Colorgrave title that I haven't played yet, Prodigal. Plus, I love how it not only reminds me of the classic Zelda games, but an upcoming Yacht Club title called Mina the Hollow.
