Nancy McGehee is a professor of hospitality and tourism management in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. She joined Here at home to encourage people to take advantage of the chance of travel and to give themselves space to explore.
McGehee also offered money-saving tips by reminding people that local adventures close to home can be just as fun and rewarding as traveling beyond Southwest Virginia.
Additionally, tools like artificial intelligence or apps like Air BnB can give you itinerary ideas that might go beyond your initial plans.
