The third day of this year Summer Game Festival continues to impress as Xbox Games Showcase brings news of an all-new entry in one of the most iconic story-driven game series to date: Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
In the next adventure, protagonist Max Caulfield returns, but this time as a student at the prestigious Caledon University. There, the resident photographer discovers that her best friend Safi has been brutally murdered and left for dead in the snow. In an attempt to rewrite history and save Safi, Max chooses to go back in time as she did in the past – accidentally opening an alternate timeline.
The other reality is home to Safi, still alive – but not for long. Max quickly realizes that whoever killed her friend in her own dimension will do it here too, meaning she has little time to try to solve the upcoming murder. Luckily, players won't have to wait too long to find out how the emotional story unfolds, as Life is Strange: Double Exposure is set to release this fall on October 29.
The game will be available on PC and Xbox, with pre-orders for the Ultimate Edition open now via Microsoft– perfect for eager fans looking to get early access to the first two chapters on October 15, two weeks before Double Exposure's full release.
