Daedalic Entertainment introduced fantasy point-and-click The night of the rabbit on Switch and it's available on the eShop from… today! Originally released on PC in 2013, it's a thing of beauty, as you can see in the trailer for the Switch version above.
Described in the blurb as “reminiscent of classic LucasArts adventures”, we can't vouch for whether that just means it's a classic-style P&C or not, but if the dub is to be believed and animation, it might be a bit special, if you like that sort of thing.
In fact, by checking the Steam page you'll find that it received a “very positive” rating based on 2,396 reviews at the time of writing – not to be sniffed at – and is sitting on a 75 on Metacritic.
But what is it about? you may be asking. Well, let's take a look at how the publisher describes it, followed by some screenshots:
Lose yourself in a tale of magic and wonder, where anything is possible and nothing is as it seems: join young Jerry and follow a strange white rabbit to the wondrous kingdom of Mousewood, a land where creatures can speak and where mystery abounds.
Developed by Matthias Kempke, who believes that “game design is about creating new worlds for players to explore.” The night of the rabbit is a story-driven exploration/adventure game with beautifully hand-crafted 2D art, full voice acting, and puzzles reminiscent of classic LucasArts adventures. The narrative begins light and funny, but quickly shifts to a dramatic and thought-provoking tone over the course of 20 hours of gameplay. This multi-layered story features original character and world designs based on short stories written by the creator of the game, included as bonuses in the game.
If you like the sound and look of the trailer above, the game is now available on Switch eShop for $19.99 / £16.99.
