Ronda, Spain
The people of Ronda had the habit of throwing women they suspected of being witches from the top of its famous bridge, Puente Nuevo. Thank goodness it now serves as a pedestrian crossing over the river. A city with dizzying heights and which is home to the first bullring in Spain, Ronda has been declared an area of cultural interest. Several peoples settled here, including the Celts, Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs.
Hvar, Croatia

Known in English as “the Blue Island”, Faial is part of the Azores, a network of incredible volcanic masses in the Atlantic Ocean. Alberobello, Italy
A Unesco World HeritageAlberobello is known everywhere for its characteristic houses with conical roofs, or trulli. The city's name derives from the Greek word for dome (τρούλος; in Italian, cupola).
