Based recently debuted on Nintendo Switch and while the team at Obsidian have technically rolled out the latest major update, it's not finished yet.
The developer has now rolled out a new patch, bringing the game to version 1.4.1. This latest patch contains major fixes, changes, optimizations and notably updates specific to the Switch. Here's the full recap, courtesy of the game's official website:

BUGS FIXES/CHANGES
NINTENDO SWITCH
- The water mist when looking outside the Pond Lab dome no longer appears or appears.
- Improved performance in various labs that display a camera feed on a door you unlock.
- Reducing the amount of artwork that occurs in interiors.
- Playgrounds load correctly on the Switch.
- Host and client mics are correctly detected if they do not have their mics connected to the Switch when joining a game and connecting one later.
MAJOR FIXES:
- Players will no longer respawn with a dark screen for 3 seconds after dying to a boss and respawning in single player.
- Creatures involved in basic attacks or Waft Emitter attacks no longer freeze for clients upon arrival.
- Boss shout attacks and Wasp Drone shouts in New Game+ no longer trigger AOE infusion attacks on anything their shout hits.
- Milk Molar upgrades for clients are correctly carried over when activating New Game+.
- Bases no longer load with certain structures, incorrectly indicating that they are supporting the entire base.
- Fixed Microsoft account sign-in screen incorrectly displaying incorrect environment error (fixed in previous hotfix release).
CHANGES:
- Increased the amount of damage reduction for the random gem status effect “+Damage Resistance” from 10% to 50%.
- You can enable text chat via the gamepad on consoles.
OPTIMIZATIONS:
- Improved performance in the game in general.
- Improved performance when playing in multiplayer mode.
- Reduced memory usage throughout the game.
- Playgrounds with many links will work with better performance in Play mode.
- Improved rendering performance in indoor spaces at lower settings.
CRASH FIXES:
- Fixed a crash that could sometimes occur after looting a dead animal and triggering an autosave.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when ending a conversation.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a client rejoined a game where their last saved data was located while they were eliminated.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when a client charged into a courtyard with bases built.
- Fixed crashes that could occur randomly during games.
OTHER BUGS FIXES:
- Voice chat settings apply correctly after closing and reopening the game.
- Loading a game into the Pond Lab no longer displays an underwater effect on screen.
- A few pieces of laboratory oak roots no longer stand out at close range on low settings.
- The lighting switches correctly if a defense event is active.
- The Pond Lab cutscene works correctly for clients who are far away when the cutscene activates.
- Duplicating infused weapons correctly copies the random effect.
- Improved water quality at low settings.
- Customers no longer receive a Raw Science notification immediately upon registration.
- The glowing sirens near the Black Anthill boss now animate correctly when visible.
