As summer approaches, Americans have their sights set on sunny beach destinations, according to Allianz Partners' Survey of the top 10 summer travel destinations for 2024.
The study reveals that international travel will be up 15 percent this summer compared to last year, but that domestic travel still represents the majority (68 percent) of summer itinerary bookings.
After analyzing more than six million flight itineraries for trips lasting between five and eight days for trips booked between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, Allianz found that Ever-changing Orlando, Florida continues to be the most sought-after domestic destination, ahead of Seattle, Boston, new York and Honolulu.

Montego Bay, Jamaica (sixth); Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (eighth) and Nassau, Bahamas (10th) is also among the top 10 overseas destinations for summer travelers this year.
