New England is full of excursions during the summer months, and two local destinations are among the places to visit around the world in July, according to Travel + Leisure.

The travel publication published a list of 15 Best Places to Travel in July and included New Hampshire And Newport, RI Other places on the list include Paris; Queensland, Australia; and Outer Banks, North Carolina

With the White Mountains, Great Northern WoodsAnd Lakes Region, New Hampshire is full of summer excursions such as boating, swimming, hiking, camping and fly fishing, the publication writes. The Lakes Region has more than 270 bodies of water, including the popular Lake Winnipesaukee.

“Whether your ideal summer vacation involves a lakeside cabin, a mountainside lodge, or a quaint town, New Hampshire has what you want” Travel + Leisure wrote.

The seaside town of Newport is also full of summer fun, according to the publication.

“With its opulent Gilded Age homes and beautiful beaches, Newport is a beautiful summer destination,” according to the publication. “Visitors and residents stroll along the scenic Cliff Walk, bike along Ocean Drive, browse farmers markets and picnic on the beach.”

THE Newport Classical Music Festivala 55-year-old tradition, will take place from July 4 to 21.
